GT King Amlogic 922 thermal mod

Today I’m going to prove you how to lower your Chip temps with 10 to 15 degrees on your GT King 922x Amlogic.

We presently reviewed this Amlogic 922 monster and as you can see the max temp was 71 degree.
Lets see which will take after making the thermal mod.

So first we need to open the package.
It’s fairly easy – no screws just use few thin tool as guitar pic to remove the backside back.

Then unscrew the board and you’ll see the Chip metallic cover what contact with the base heat sink with some strange sponge thermal pad.

On the opposite side of Processor cover wee view that the Amlogic 922 was not contacting good.

And as you can see the heat sink has some nice colours what means that high temps are beeing.

So which we need?

– a copper 20mmx20mmx1.2mm Heatsink
– Silicon Thermal Pad 100x100x2mm
– Arctic MX-4 thermal compound

Let’s started.

First clean the old thermal paste.

We wont use the Chip metal cover so just leave it.

Presently apply a drop of Arctic MX-4 thermal compound on the Amlogic 922.

Then place the copper Thermal pad above it.

Now cut the Silicon Thermal Pad similar dimensions as copper one and apply it more than.

We are ready to put the package sections alongside.

Whenever we’ve done it’s time to test what we’ve acheived.

let’s run Antutu test.

And currently we view that the temps not exeed 54-56 degree whenever on stock we had 71 degree max.

So we’ve dome perfect work only for 15min work 🙂

Note: This thermal mod wont increase your CPU result however wont let it to throttlig when you play games for example!

If you as our thermal mod please share it with your friends.
