A new rumor had week ago surfaced, which advised that Huawei and Leica‘s partnership had expired. However, the Chinese tech giant has denied the rumor, despite the source being a prominent Weibo leakster.
For individuals unaware, Huawei had first partnered up with Leica back in 2016, for its the flagship Huawei P9. The known camera company even contributed towards the picture processing, UI design, and camera module design and has because been a staple partner of the telephone maker for its flagship lineups. But now, it was rumored that this partnership had arrive to an close, whenever famous leakster, DigitalChatStation revealed the reports on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website.
The leakster claimed that Leica has been contacted by a varied Chinese cameraphone company and had decided to end the partnership. Although, Huawei has because responded to AndroidAuthority regarding this matter and called the rumor “absolutely fake reports,” although a Leica representative stated that they “have no information about the termination of the partnership.” So for the moment, it appears that the partnership is still holding strong.
